Hey /v/ I'm thinking about getting underrail or pillars of eternity. Which would you recommend? I'm open to other suggestions as well.
inb4 neither
inb4 both
PoE if you're a storyfag, Underrail if you prefer combat and exploration.
is this underrail still under early access?
how close to a finished game is it?

I grew up on cRPGs but something feels off about Underrail. Like there is something wrong with the balancing.

to be honest I don't care about balance that much in single player RPGs.
many other cRPGs can be trivialized with savescumming but I restrain myself and still enjoy it.
I was talking more about bugs, game braking or not, when talking about a finished game.

>already people trying to make copies of Undertale to ride on its success
>not even subtle about it
>>321704626
yeah underrail is pretty much a ripoff of undertale?????
>>321703520
>storyfag
>PoE
The story of PoE is a shitty mystery chase for 95% of entire content. Villain is JRPG-tier.
Even Underrail has a better setting and story. Pretty much Metro + lovecraftian horrors.

PoE for storyfags. Blunderrail for gameplay.

Stuff about gods and their nature are my favorite fantasy stories, PoE was right up my alley.
It's bizarre to see the game so dismissed on /v/

Inquisitor.
>>321703191
Underrail for very well fleshed out combat and character building system.
Pillars of Eternity for writing and quests.

Way to rip off Undertale
At least be subtle about it
I've been underrail for about a week now and I've tried a myriad of builds. It's interesting combat and story wise enough that if you like these type of rpgs you'll probably like it too. That said, the combat can be balls to the wall hard and you can and will get your shit kicked in if you build incorrectly or explore unprepared.
I'd give it a 7/10, My major gripes are areas where you need to backtrack and the slow movement speed. I'll answer and questions if you got em.

Way to try and make the same joke somebody else has; at least be subtle about it.

30 hours of content if you really explore, most of which is mediocre combat.
One outstanding area and one outstanding NPC in total.
Generic "muh atheism the gods aren't real" storyline.
Like half of the NPCs are shitty kickstarter fanfics.
Really the only outstanding part of PoE is the pre-rendered backgrounds.

Divinity: Original Sin, Maybe (maybe)probably notWasteland 2

Didn't see the other postand i wasnt joking
