It's easily in my top 5 for zelda games. I'm also super hyped for the HD TP remake. Wind waker had arguably the deepest combat system with adding dodges and shit.

Allowing enemies to hit each other is actually the biggest issue the game has. It means that they can't properly gang up on you like TP (which is the biggest thing that game has over the rest of the 3D Zeldas).

I don't think it was a huge problem but I could see that. TP is probably my top or second of all time for the series. I loved the combat system, and the atmosphere of wind waker. The fuck long boat rides kind of sucked though
