$20 on Steam currently. Worth it?
>>
>356 rubles
>4.9$
Hue.
>>
>Bought the game for $25 on PS4 during Black Friday
>Start playing it today
>They forgot to make the driving good, coming from Just Cause, in the game all about driving

It's alright
>>
got 40 hours out of it. suffers a bit from open-world syndrome and the hand-to-hand-combat system is shallow but i liked the world design and car combat as well as the upgrading.
>>
>>321672219
I thought the driving was good? This is the first time I've heard it sucks
>>
>literraly half price on g2a WITH dlc
>they are still people that buy it on steam
>>
>>321672487
It's not bad, but it's really fucking slippery and the game punishes you for making a slight bump into anything
Though I only played it for an hour, and I heard that other cars handle differently, so I'll just play it more and see.
>>
>>321672619
I don't want the Russian version anon

It's a masterpiece, anon.
Even better if you like the slight steep-curve of grinding near the end of the game.
>>321672219
>>321672640
You are so full of shit.
The driving is toptier, you just have to upgrade your fucking car.
I bet my shit you play with k+m too.
>>
>>321671582
If you like Mad Max and customising cars, totally. However, the ground combat is more like Sleeping Dogs and not that great. You will be spending most of your time driving the wastelands with the car of your dream.
>>
Eh, I like it but it's filled with bad design decisions like "press, hold, mash "A" to do shit" for everything, stupid busywork and timewasting by having to pick up everything manually instead of just walking over it, having to watch a mini-cinematic whenever you do something like replenishing your health or filling your canteen and so on.
Then there are game mechanics that become obsolete later on or can be ignored completely from the get go like the already mentioned canteen or the fuel for your cars.
Both refills automatically once you've found the corresponding stronghold project parts and in case of the canteen there isn't really a point to it outside of giving water to some dried up wastelanders.
If you die you will respawn just a few meters away again with full health and no penalty and it probably takes more time to watch the mini-cinematic for refilling and the drinking animation than it does for the game to reload the last savepoint.

Max kills Chumbucket after going complete moralfag because Hope and her kid die even though he had no interest in either of them up until that point.

:^)

>>321674630
I wouldn't say moralfag. He just goes apeshit, or mad. Max.

>MGSV gets $20 off while Mad Max gets $40 off

IT'S NOT FAIR
MAD MAX CAME OUT MORE RECENTLY THAN MGSV RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH
DENUUUUUUUUUUUUUUVOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
>>
>>321674630
That's just fucking dumb, anon.
Don't spoil other people's fun.
Go back to reddit.

>I can't afford $40
You must be 18 to browse on 4chan.
>>
Console versions released on Sept 1st and PC for MGSV was a couple weeks later, Mad Max released on all platforms the 1st so I'm not sure what you mean.
>>
>>321671582
There's no way in hell it's going to be as good as the movie, so why bother?
>>

I'm 30 hours in and I've no idea what's even going on

I literally said I bought it on PS4, and I only played for an hour. I'm willing to say it's better when I play more

This game is so fucking empty, there is nothing to do.

>In the first zone there's one race track, one chase where you blow up a caravan, one "boss" hideout, and three smaller hideouts, along with a few statues to pull down. Oh, and the fucking minefields.
>Expect this to be starter content, the wider world will have much more shit to do, more varied missions, and actual things to do.
>Nope. Every zone has the same shit. The exact same shit.
>Statues to pull down.
>The EXACT SAME BOSSES to fight for car paintjobs.
>Stupid hideouts where you just hunt for things to break.
>And one caravan.

That's it. That's literally all there is to do in the game. One or two main story missions kind of break it up, but not enough.

The size of the open world would feel big if you were on foot, but since you're in a car, it just feels like a small- to medium-sized flat sandbox that they forgot to fill with anything interesting.

And what's the worst part? The ending, holy fuck. The end boss is literally the exact same caravan fight you've done a dozen times before, followed by a cutscene where they couldn't figure out how to end it so they decided to just make the main character a complete douche who resets everything in the game back to 0 with no pay-offf at all.

Why was this shit even made?
>>
>>321671582
>Worth it?
If you can ignore that the story keeps forgetting it exists and that the gameplay is completely forgettable, sure.
>>
It's pretty meh

It does literally everything you'd expect an open world game to do. Boring poorly paced story where you have to find the macguffin, capture outposts to upgrade your shit, etc
>>
Yes it is. If you like arkham style combat and side "missions" with a big focus on driving.
One thing i have to say about the combat is, that i fucking adore the animations of max. Except for some over the top wrestling moves, his kicks and punches have probably the most real impact i've seen in a game so far. This makes the ground combat really fun (for me).
There are maybe 6-7 different things you can do in the wasteland, but after 12 hours i still don't feel the grind.
I would say buy it, play for 2 hours and refund it if you don't like it.
>>
> watch the movies
> all those crazy revamped or completely custom cars, rigs, etc. with sawblades, thrones, excavators and shit
> nearly every car in the game is some hotrod, pick-up or buggy
> not even motocycles
>>
Underdune was awesome and the best part of the game.
>>
Pretty average, if you've played any console action games in the past 10 years, you've played this game already.
>>
>>321676292

Every car is actually the same exact chassis with a different shell on it except a couple unique boss vehicles

The game really feels like they just gave up half way through it
>>
I recommend it for the car combat. No other game has car combat like it. The desert aesthetic and open world car combat focus reminds me a bit of jak 3 (even if Jak 3 was inspired by mad max). There's way too much focus on the shitty on-foot combat, but at least the animations are nice. Some feel the game is grindey but I like having goals to work towards and that everything isn't just handed to me. When I finally unlock that car upgrade it feels like I really earned it. Also the explosions are brilliant in this game, blowing shit up never gets old. And you do a lot of blowing shit up.
>>
>>321676863
>The game really feels like they just gave up half way through it

It felt like they just gave up once I noticed that it's not the springs of the suspensions that get stretched or pressed together on the first car you drive but the model of the entire fucking piston.
>>
>>321677452
>No other game has car combat like it

Twisted metal, Just Cause, Cel Damage, Full Auto, RAGE
>>
>>321677805
Similar but not like it.
>>
>>321677973

It's actually exactly the same as Rage

One thing it did right, though, was that the fortresses and even scavenging locations were miles above the military bases and settlements in Just Cause 2.
They actually felt like someone put effort into their designs compared to the outright copy-pasted shit on Panau.
>>
Does gasoline become more scarce on the harder difficulty? There's fuel pretty much every where, not feeling the desperation at all
>>
>>321678726
I think fuel is just like a resource that you can use the side burners and maybe some other stuff with. I'm mid game now with pretty much every major car upgrade unlocked and I've noticed I'm having to refuel a lot more often than when I first started, without even using the sideburners much.
>>
>>321678490
If anything, JC3 is worse than JC2 in everything but graphics and having the wingsuit additionally to the grappling hook.
>>
>>321678726
Ammo is like the only somewhat scarce resource in the game and even that stops being a problem after the stronghold upgrade.
>>
Also: where's the fucking music?
There's jack shit most of the time and you're better off with putting in the movie soundtracks which vastly enhance the game.
>>
>>321671582
It's one pf the most shallow grindfests i've ever played.
It's boring as fuck.
>>
>>321680051
I play without music. Feels more dead and deserty, more atmospheric imo
>>
>>321674894
Mad Max also sold like shit and wouldn't sell now if not for a huge discount

It's my 2015 GOTY but I fucking love cars and Mad Max so take it with a big spoon of salt added.
>>
>>321675701
Open World is the new meme, everyone demands open world for every game now even though it nearly always means a big area full of fuck all.
>>
>>321679126
How did they fuck up? They just needed to add more shit to JC2 and improve on it, instead they just did JC2 again but worse.
