Fable 3 was also a colossal fuck up, and I'm the type of person that thought Fable 2 was amazing.

ME3 didn't sting as much because I could already see the series plummeting in ME2. So it was definitely MGSV for me. You can't just feed us those 10/10 trailers for several years and then give us a game that wasn't even finished, an open world for a series that never needed one, a twist for a discrepancy nobody cared about, and nearly no bossfights/fun codec calls in a series that is all about the bossfights and codec calls.

Kinda older but FFVIII was a huge disappointment. After playing 7 and loving every second of it, I thought surely this sequel will top all of it. At first it was great but around disc 2 it started getting really sloppy. Junctioning was just fustrating as hell, the GFs were spam, and half the limit breaks were useless. Didn't even beat last boss cause I was soo over it

I liked the controls but the level design and enemy types were shit. Inventory was shit. Fake puzzles pissed me off. Why even tell me I need to look for an important object when you're just gonna tell me where it is? You're just placing unnecessary obstacles in my way rather than giving me something to think about.
The story took itself way too seriously. I hated the whole cinematic feel of the game.
All the characters were just plain bad. Yeah the girls were hot but other than that there was nothing likable about any of them.
Killing Wesker was the worst decision Capcom ever made. Now there's no likable antagonist.
Also Ada needs to fuck off. She's just a meme character at this point. Still trying to put up her "I'm so mysterious" act. Fuck you, I don't give a fuck. Stop trying to force this LeonxAda relationship, Capcom. He's never had good chemistry with her unlike every other girl he meets. Seriously, just fucking die.

I really liked the kind of mystery feel in MGS2. When you realized that everything is extremely similar to MGS1 and supernatural bosses like Vamp and Fortune, really liked that. Level design was shit, though. But I didn't mind Raiden at all, probably because I knew about him before playing the game.

Bioshock is somewhere near the top. I expected a SS2 spiritual sequel, instead got a thoroughly casual piece of shit clearly designed for consoles. Zero challenge at the highest difficulty, free supplies raining out of every orifice, overpowered arsenal against dumb enemies.
Idiotic, pretentious story that relies on a pure pottery plot twist. Game has an oh-so-clever moment where it goes all "this is why the game has been linear all along :^)" but then proceeds to remain linear without any legitimate reason to be -- they would have been better off not trying to be clever and adopted linearity in earnest, instead they came off as total dipshits and quasi intellectuals.
People rain shit at Infinite, but Bioshock is equally stupid. In Infinite you can at least jack off to the grill and the incredibly tasteless, but masturbation-worthy incest fetish thing they're forcing down your throat.

FEAR 3. I was so hyped to play it after FEAR 1 and 2, ready to experience more dread and creepy shit. I never really felt the pain because my home pc was beyond terrible and the creature creator demo would refuse to even boot up because I was below the requirements. By the time I had something capable of running spore I already heard from everyone that it was essentially one big shitshow.

I bought infinite when it was on sale for like 30 bucks and I still feel ripped off. I really didn't enjoy the game, something about the way encounters were set up and how Eliza eth worked just really put me off it. A lot of good times were spent in high school playing Halo 3, following MLG (my brother had two friends on the circuit) and making new one month accounts and boosting to level 50 in Doubles, SWAT, Slayer, or the MLG playlist. Once I outgrew my competitive phase, my friends and I would just make and play crazy Forge maps and modes.
Halo 4 shit all over the multiplayer from any kind of competitive angle and turned it into babyshit easy Cawaduty mode, had terrible maps, a forgettable campaign (that went off in a stupid direction that still continues to this day) and a clunky Forge mode that didn't let you download community files.
Also, my high school friends had all moved to Call of Duty at that point anyway, so there was nobody to even play the game with.

I was in denial for like 4 hours of gameplay and suddenly I realized that this wasn't just the tutorial, this was the actual game and it was fucking terrible. Unlike you, I also had more than one argument, just because they don't apply to you doesn't mean they aren't points. The game was hyped up a lot and delayed several times. The campaign was mediocre compared to the first two games. The balance patches also didn't help at all but just shifted opness from Nod to GDI and back. It was a big disappointment to everyone who actually wanted to play this in multiplayer.
