I thought it could be good. A movie about the nerd uncovering the secrets behind E.T. the videogame seemed like it could be pretty cool. Except it was barely about the nerd, too much time was spent on his boring, dumbfuck costars. He likes to interrupt someone discussing neat trivia or history about the game they are playing to point out how something looks like a penis or a piece of shit or a small typo in the game- and then he'll tell the story that James or whoever was trying to tell in the first place.

I first watched AVGN this year, it's subpar in comparison to other over the top reviewers, but a lot of the older episodes are very genuine and have well executed humor and the newer ones are very contrived and his age shows in the poorer puns and skits (although I've never liked any of the skits)
I really wish the "old and busted" view would be the exception and not the rule in every medium because that's what it is in reality
