I did like that Fighting Jam tried to have the characters play like they did in their series, but I also like the idea of a good story being built as well, something street fighter does well that the VS series don't do well.

I would greatly prefer an actual Darkstalkers game. There's something unique to the franchise which does not translate well to crossing over with Street Fighter. We have Marvel vs Capcom, Puzzle Fighter and other crossovers for that.
Also I expect if they can't get Marvel on board for a Marvel vs Capcom 4, they'll eventually just do a Marvel-style crossover fighter with just Capcom characters starring a lot of Street Fighter and Darkstalkers charactersand Mega Man.

Eh, I dunno. Avengers was the reason they pushed for Hawkeye in UMvC3 but it was still comic book Hakeye. Also it would increase development costs by quite a bit if they needed to get the cinematic universe actors or soundalikes.

He is. they have Morrigan going to the human world for fun and Felicia is a popular performer if not a star with roles in movies and TV shows. Project X Zone 2 and Pocket Fighter at least have Felicia knowing Ken , probably due to his family's company.
