Far Cry is nothing like 2, 3 or 4. It's a 9/10 game while the others are all shitty in their own ways.
My biggest problem with Far Cry is that it was almost impossible to control the frame rate. The game wanted to run at hundreds of frames per second like it was trying to burn out my GPU. I'm sure it wouldn't have actually harmed my computer, but I wasn't enjoying the wasted power and louder fan, so I wanted to fix this. Unfortunately, in-game vsync did nothing; GPU control panel vsync (AMD CCC) did nothing; RadeonPro didn't seem to do anything and also made the game crash. Only with D3DOverrider was I finally able to force vsync, and even then, the game kept on stuttering.

Should've started with Far Cry 3.
The only real problem with FC was that the player is squishy as fuck and the game is checkpoint-based. Once you add back quicksaves it becomes pretty fun.
Much better than Crysis. Fuck that game, they managed to make a game with aliens and some power armor feel like a generic call of duty.

I played through Crysis WH because I couldn't bother to waste 10 hours on Crysis. I'm glad I did that.
The game picks up after (surprisingly) the train turret section (which is like 1-2 hours before it ends). The whole game felt like wasted potential.

The only worthwhile power is cloaking, which doesn't really help you with anything in a fast paced FPS.

No it's not, just because you can't make use of a power doesn't mean it's not worth. You're just not skilled enough as a gamer to even dare trying things that could seem stupid if you never tried them. Use more your brain, anon.

Man, you sure played a lot diffently than me.
The cloaking isn't worthless. Yes, if you're running like a retard you'll get to 0 energy in no time on top of being spotted that close enemies that can hear you. But to infiltrate a base or just get close to an heavily guarded objective, the cloak sure is useful as hell. First, if you just want to do some scouting, you NEED to cloak or you'll risk highly to be spotted by enemies. Secondly, if you want to get to a certain point without being seen (like getting to a vehicle / vehicle's turret), then cloaking is the way to go. Go in cloak mode, crouch / crawl to the vehicle, get in the turret and shot everyone around you in armor mode.
There's shit tons of way to use the cloak strategically. Inflitrating, putting a bomb on a car and leavign the base to divert the attention from the enemies, ect ect. I'm not going to write it all, but just because it wasn't worth in your playstyle doesn't mean it's not worth at all.
I personally barely used armor because if i ever needed it most of the time i'd die anyway, so i just used speed to get fastly to enemies and to go from cover to another cover in an instant.
