My damn PC can't even start Path of Exile. Initially, it gets stuck at the loading screen, then the screen just becomes all black.
The strange thing is that I shouldn't have any problem, both according to the steam page and to system requirements lab, pic related.
Is there anything that I can do to play it?
Anyway, Low Spec Pc thread.
Back in beta PoE was running well on my similar toaster (AMD 3850, Athlon 5400+ 2.8, 4Gigs of RAM).
You should not have problems.

Yeah, that's why it's so frustrating, it doesn't make any sense. The fact that it works on basically every PC is also the reason why I can't find any possible solution using google, which makes it even more frustrating. Oh, well.

SRL screenshot says GeForce 9600 GT but Speccy says Intel HD Graphics. On-board video as well as a discrete card?
Maybe PoE is selecting the wrong one? Can you force it to the GeForce?

OP here, >>321650316 is a different anon, here my Speccy screeshot (btw, 100° and 90°, what the hell). But, yeah, I have an on-board video as well as a discrete card.
>Maybe PoE is selecting the wrong one? Can you force it to the GeForce?
That would explain it, I'll search how to try it force it, thanks man.

anyway I played PoE fine(toog ages to boot though) with 4 gigs of ram and an old i3 530 processor.
But seriously, see to your cooling. 100C is not fucking ok.

B-b-but it runs other (old) games well enough.
But, yeah, that's an alarming surprise that needs to be fixed. Thanks to the Speccy analysis made to be posted in this thread I'll save my PC from hell, or at least I hope so.
