I'm not sure what's wrong with the maps or the characters.
It's nothing mindblowing and nothing GOTY but as far as JRPGs go it's perfectly okay, it's even quite charming at some points. If that's the kind of game you're looking for then consider it fully at least.

I did, but made the mistake of starting on normal, which turned out to be complete faceroll difficulty.
And starting over on hard would mean to go through 10 hours of unskippable dialogue again.

It's a great puzzle game, arguably better than Portal 1 and 2, and incredibly beautiful and relaxing.
Road to Gehenna is a worthy expansion as well, and really ramps up the difficulty.
The Serious DLC is for the fans of Serious Sam, it's hilarious if you've played the games otherwise not much point getting it.
Bonus content and Prototype are skippable unless you're really interested in the game.

Well there's also Valkyria Chronicles which I dropped shortly after the tank boss. It's tactical options are very shallow, which made me dislike the combat. Also it's rating system is retarded.

They're not dailies anymore, they're just Highlighted deals. Steam refunds rendered dailies obsolete since people could refund their money and re-buy games later if they got cheaper.

I prefer it to Undertale since it's in that realm of indie Earthbound rip offs. Undertale is a little too aware of itself for my liking. At least LISA attempts to take its content seriously to some degree.

I've not finished it, i'm only 6 hours in myself.
I've always taken Joy when withdrawal kicks in but I could have sworn Brad got over it with time on his own. I remember fighting the snakes but other party members killed them before he could take any every time. By the 6th or 7th snake his withdrawal stopped.
