Zero Mission was some of the most fun I've ever had. GoldenSun was also great as babbys first RPG.

That may be true, but it doesn't take away from the fact that they were still clearly trying to market it as such. When the gba came out, anyone could compare the two and wonder how the 16 bit version looked far better than the 32 bit version.

What were some of the better RPGs for the system? I played the GoldenSuns, half of Fire Emblem, and that was it. Wish I was more into that genera as a kid because it seems like the GBA had a lot of good ones.

Shining Soul II.
Great little action rpg dungeon crawler, somewhat of a diablo-like game with the loot treadmill and a basic crafting system. Good variety of classes to choose from.

Although to be honest, to anyone that wants to give the series a go, but you don't have the time to play all the games, I recommend you play Battle Network 2 and 3 at the very least.
Fucking amazing.
My ranking goes something like this though.
6 > 3 > 2 > 1 > 4 > 5
(it's not that any of them are terrible though, numbers 4 and 5 just had really repetitive segments, and 1 is their first try, so it's got issues)

Never actually played it on the GBA but i bought it for the virtual console, and after a substantial amount of hours on it i can say it's a damn good game, both as a racing game and as classic Mario and friends battle.

If you have interest in Pokemon romhacks, a Japanese one called Vega got a fan translation recently and is really solid. It's got an original region and fakemons that actually look good. Huge post-game, too. Only real issue is difficulty curve is a bit wonky but it's not total bullshit level.

That seems pretty standard for what I see on ebay. For some reason, non-shovelware GBA games seem set at ~$12-$20. There are some ridiculous listings of Ruby/Sapphire (boxed, I hope, at least) for something ridiculous, like $100.
I was actually suprised when I first saw. These games are ~15 years old. Compare to 20 years ago, when comparably old games would be sold for like $1 a piece in some bargain bin.

I had one of these, it added a headphone jack and still allowed me to charge the GBA SP.
Now if only there were a way to fix the SP's shitty face buttons, d-pad, and malfunctioning shoulder buttons.
