you faggots will argue about anything V2
pikachu
>>321582721
are you fucking stupid, mew is clearly the better choice
The best choice is obviouslyyour personal preference
squirtle is the best
Are you winning, son?
>>321582832
Did pokemon really need its own board?
>charmander
charizardfags still think a generic dragon is cool
>squirtle
people who choose this are ok, they think turtles and tortoises are neat, or they like big guns slapped onto animals
>bulbasaur
first two gyms are ez mode, but still cool, likes status effects and chill looking dinosaurs
>>321583187
Yes, every new pokemon release flooded /v/ with threads of retarded casuals gushing about their favorite RPG for eight year olds
>charizard
normies
>squirtle
contrarians
>bulbasaur
Jokes on you, these people don't exist.
>>321582721
same here
>>321582630
I picked Charmander as a kid. Now I would probably waver between Squirtle and Bulbasaur for half an hour, eventually picking Squirtle.
>>321583392
sounds like smash tbdesu
The dinosaur.
>>321583439
Charmander makes for the hardest game (even though it's not hard at all). Type weaknesses right off the bat before you start to over-level.
Bulbasaur masterrace
>>321583298
You stupid, you choose them for the types not their appearance
>>321583556
Except smash has had 4 games in in 15 years and Pokémon had a new game released every year for about 7 years in a row.
>>321583789
>Fire
>guarantees a decent fire type
>Grass
>challenge run for people that want something different
>Water
>good job jackass, there's 100 great water types and you wasted your slot on the generic starter
>>321582630
I picked Bulbasaur so I could body the first lot of gyms, later on I'd pick Charmander because I heard he's the better one for the E4.
I tend to pick Charmander nowadays but who gives a fuck they all have their uses.
my favourite pokemon is DJ Kahled
>>321582630
Bulbasaur because hes the cutest.
>>321583392
Stop posting any time, thanks. You sound like a whiny manchild.
>>321583990
Never pick fire type Pokemon, because they are super weak against water and you will spend most of your time in water.
None of those.
>>321582630
Used to like charmander as a kid. Nowadays, I'm biased towards water starters (all gens)
>>321582630
I always pick my team based on which Pokemon I want to fuck, honestly.
>>321583439
One of my friends does like bulbasaur. I had squirtle and bulbasaur in the first pmd because of our bromance
>>321583789
Why? Appearance is extremely important.
>>321583719
Um, come again?
>>321582630
The choice doesn't matter. You meet up with your friend who also just bought the game and one of you restarts the game until trading the other 4 starters -- the two he didn't pick, and the two you don't plan to pick. After which, you start the game normally and he sends you the two extra starters to complete your trio.
Shit, it's not that fucking difficult.
>>321582630
I'd say Squirtle because of hydro pump and base DEF.
but it doesn't really matter, since your elemental weakness can be mitigated easily by capturing another pokemon early game, and by that time you can pretty much switch between the two easily.
>>321582630
Bulbasaur all day every day
Either one of these.
>>321585856
The sprint to get a Vulpix was real shitty compared to just grabbing a magikarp though.
>>321584952
good taste. gen 2 starters are all likable imo.
>>321586143
>Pokefags hate Infernape because it overshadowed their precious Blaziken in Gen 4
>Pokefags hate Emboar because it's the third fire/fighting starter
>>321586389
Emboar could have been a pure Fire-type, but being a fighting type gives it an edge, at least.
>>321586389
To be fair, Emboar kind of sucks.
All the Gen5 starters do, honestly.
>>321585435
He means that Charmander is the only of the three that doesn't offer an advantage in the first two gym battles due to the opponents' types. This makes for the most difficult start -- which can generally be overcome by catching other Pokemon anyway.
As it happens, though, Brock's team doesn't have any moves that deal extra damage to Charmander, so the only disadvantage would really come against Misty's team.
>>321584335
Thats a female
>>321586168
True, but you don't need a Fire pokemon until mid to late game though.
From just switching to your second strongest pokemon to be a Golem or atleast a pokemon with x1.00 resist can still be fine as long as you know what you are doing.
>>321582630
Bulbasaur is the better choice if you're playing it for the first time.
>>321588056
Plus the moves that Charmander learns don't really do shit against Brock's Geodude or Onix.
>>321587459
>dissing smugleaf
but yeah not the best gen by far
