Also what the hell happened to sniping? In older COD games the maps were big enough to at least encourage some sniping. Now all the maps are tiny as fuck with flanking points everywhere so snipers are borderline useless.

For the COD type game, yes. Titanfall and COD have similar gunplay and such. I understand you're probably one of the easily triggered Quake fans (Seems there's a lot of them, but the game is dead, strange) who can't understand different genres and sub-genres and so on, but try to understand now. As far as COD type shooters go, Titanfall is much faster and smoother than Black ops 3.

I think the maps are okay (except Metro). I agree the maps aren't ideal for snipers but I've seen alot of snipers getting top 3 with great kda. Would be nice with a few more maps though.

Anyone else feel like cosmetics in games are spiraling out of control? It's already at the point where there's no coherent visual style and seemingly no concern for immersion or the suspension of disbelief. All the comics making fun of skins and hats are suddenly not even an exaggeration anymore.

No, no trigger here. Simply explaining things to a shitposter. Titanfall is made by former COD developers, so it is comparable to the COD series. The gameplay mechanics are similar, and newer COD games started copying Titanfalls movement mechanics after it came out. Quake/Tribes/etc can be faster, but they aren't comparable in gameplay mechanics and feel besides being shooters. So that is why I said I prefer Titanfalls speed, because as far as COD-esque games go it is faster than Black ops 3. It's not that I haven't played one of those many faster shooters, it's that they're not comparable to COD in anything other than the base shooting elements. So bringing them up in regards to speed wouldn't really be right

Uh, no. A lot of games are just being sci-fi now and modern guns don't fit that. Battlefield still uses real guns. SQUAD is using real guns. Arma 3 pretty sure has real guns, but it's a bit in the future so some may not be.Without America you wouldn't have most of these guns, and you most likely can't own any of them if you don't live here :^)

Campaign plot is mostly generic army crap "We gotta save hostages" "that's not our mission!!!" Etc etc but then it goes absolutely batshit insane in the second half.
Also the games ending isn't even the real ending but you wouldn't even realise unless someone told you.
Shouldn't have really had the black ops title. WoW > BO > BO2 wrapped it all up nicely.
