Is there a type of a game you are naturally good at?
Is there a genre you can't get into or never bothered trying?
Source stuff, idk
Fucking hm2 but just hm2
>walk in
>oops shotgunned across the map xdd
>>321567543
Action RPG with fast paced hack and slashing
MOBAs can't get into.
I am the best at every type of game.
>>321567543
Sena is cute!
>>321568154
Hotline Miami 2?
Yeah that's pretty much Dark Souls 2 level of difficulty.
>Enemies can see you across the map
>Glass windows everywhere
>Enemies that can block bullets
>Fat enemies with guns
>Enemies that immediately charge at you when the level loads
The list goes on. Reaction time and accuracy isn't enough anymore. You have to stop, look around, and memorize the map.
>>321567543
>naturally good at
RTS and FPS, I grew up with these two genres.
>can't get into/never bothered
Fighting games, MOBAs and Grand Strategy.
I have a knack for most shootan and I'm "above average" level at fightan compared if we both picked up a new fighting game, just because I know fundamentals.
I'm fucking awful at sports games and decent quality puzzle games like Spacechem
>>321568732
I got KARMA in my first 5 hrs of gameplay thanks dennaeton
>>321567543
FPS'
I always seem to be bad at RTS games tho
No
RTS and MOBAs
I'm good at rhythm games to an Asian showing off degree. It's sad the genre doesn't exist anymore.
I really want to get into fighting games but I'm too shit at them to fully enjoy them, well, except for Smash but that's different. Thinking about getting the new Guilty Gear actually, is it good? And how do I git gud?
>>321568940
I liked the music and I thought the story was interesting but there were too many moments that felt like pulling teeth.
>>321568603
>mfw my name is Sena
I never see anything with my name. Spelled the same, at least. What chinese cartoon is that?
>Start off above average at nearly everything aside from strategy games
>Plateau horrendously fast
Welp.
>>321569271
Hey qt ;3
>>321567543
I'm naturally bad at all games, but I'm exceptional garbage with fighting games
>>321568818
I can't get into mob as or fighting games either
>>321568732
>>Enemies can see you across the map
Wrong, you can see enemies before they see you if you use shift.
>>Glass windows everywhere
Easy to counter with a gun or being fast at reacting
>>Enemies that can block bullets
Only the ninja cubans and a few soldiers, for that you can quickly drop a gun and grab a meele weapon
>>Fat enemies with guns
Drop the same meele weapon and pick up your rifle again
>>Enemies that immediately charge at you when the level loads
Only on dead ahead and demolition and both are generic mobs you can knock out.
You are just a retard.
>>321569271
Is your middle name John?
I've played FPS since the q3a and early cs days, so I'm okay at those I guess.
I could never get into fighting games and assfaggots.

toribash. that is all.
>>321567543
10 year old me was a bomb ass nigga in his high prime when it game to platformers and twitchy action games, now I'm just slow and bad at everything. I bet 10 year old me would bully the current me. I'll wrek his shit at rhythm games though.
>>321569373
After dying a few times, yeah of course I would pick up on those tips, the problem is that they didn't convey any of those details until you die from them.
I had to press shift more times than I did in HM1, which was just about speed, reaction time, and accuracy. All those things still play a role in HM2 but on your first playthrough, there is a greater emphasis on looking around and crowd control. The maps are huge in comparison and are filled to the brim with enemies.
>>321567543
insane at fps games, bad at rts
Mecha games / Dudebro shooters / MMO PvP
Too bad mecha games are essentially dead, I haven't bought a dudebro shooter in years and the MMO market isn't exactly bristling with success.
Trying to find a nice comfy single player game but with I have found little success.
>>321570256
for me is the other way around.
>got achievement of MVP on insurgency my first time playing it
>also the first blood
>now can't even reach a k/d of 1-1

Osu is shit, play IIDX instead

Portal, AOE all of it, Half-Life, Valiant HeartsHotline Miami 2

>Is there a type of a game you are naturally good at?
Singleplayer games
>Is there a genre you can't get into or never bothered trying?
Multiplayer games

>the genre doesn't exist anymore
Literally just got new Rockband/GH.
>>321567543
I have a pretty good feel for physics and logistics. My reaction times aren't great and my aim is generally kind of poor but I can press buttons very, very fast. If I can time for things in advance I do great because I can get into a rhythm and my hands can always keep up. I can't predict other people's behavior very well but I am very reckless and other people have a lot of issues predicting mine.
It's sort of a mixed bag so my performance varies wildly even between fairly similar games, or even within different parts of a game. If a game rewards me with items that have good flavor I can play for hundreds of hours without going soft and get an absolute ton of practice. I'm not very competitive and I prefer to play *against* the computer in co-op.
I'm really good at Monster Hunter and I enjoy gunning. I am really bad at PVE in Dark Souls but I clean up in PVP. I would probably be pretty good at RTS and fighting games if I had friends interested in them, so I mostly play RPGs and shooters.
>>321570387
Comfy singleplayer huh?
Tropico 3 or 4
Papers, Please
The Sims 2 or 3
Sim City 4
Recettear
Long Live the Queen
Ghost Trick and The Ace Attorney series if you have a Nintendo DS or newer.
I feel like I don't have the reflexes for fighting games.
Naturally good at TBS
Never bothered trying MOBAs.
>>321567543
>play game
>feel like I'm pretty good
>watch some videos on jewtube
>realize I'm a scrub

There are also the Miku games on PS3, Vita, and DS. Pretty sure there is going to be a new one on the PS4 next year.
I think they still have a demo on PS3 if you want to give it a try.
I'm amazing at fighting games, anything execution/mindgames based for that matter.
I'm trash at fps though, used to play it when I was young but lost my aim and can't be bothered to get it back.
I'd say I'm pretty great at shooters. But I'm awful at "proper" fighting games. The inputs are anti-fun.
>>321572063
Your initial confidence in your skills is a good start.
You should see how far you can go with it Anon.
the game of life
>>321567543
Good at and love Grand Strategy, Space-based RTS/TPS and Rhythm action games
Can't play fighting games and find MOBAs and multiplayer FPS to be a drag.
>>321568732
>Dark Souls 2
>difficult
Yes Dark 2 had moments where the developers went "fuck it let's make this area frustratingly stupid instead of challenging" but it was never as bad as HM2.
>>321573039
Good point. I just used DS2 as an example because I haven't played that many games that have the "kill the player until they learn the trick" type of gameplay, or at least, I try to avoid those types of games.
Any multiplayer game desu senpai
I mean I did decently in wow and a couple other games but that's that, decent (read average) in a couple of games, the rest I'm the fucking bottom or barely above it. I don't know why. I never was a multiplayer guy. And I can get pretty gud at singles. Memegames like souls and hm are fine, grand strategy etc, everything, maybe besides snes-era platformers, ok.
>>321567543
I excel at psychological and intellectual/strategical games.
I suck at games with a focus on cooperation or physical abilities testing your reaction-time, reflexes or rhythm.
I think I've been through most every western and eastern genre of board, card, sports and video game.
I am literally unbeatable in games like Town of Salem and I suck the most at fast paced shooters like quake, gunz and games like DDR.
I play visual novels a lot of the time so I'm not sure if any of this even matters much.
Do you think there are any better games than Chess and Nine Men's Morris in existence?
I don't.
Shooters
I'm pretty good at putting my crosshair exactly where I want it to be, so I can get pretty good shots if I can read my enemy.
Character action games are pretty fun and I always like playing them on the hardest available difficulty.
I'm decent at fighters, not interested enough to actually get good though.
I suck dick at most turn based things though, anything that requires forethought(find and equip this piece of gear before the fight, make sure to have these party members, this attack is strong against them but you won't know that until after you hit them with it etc) or where the outcome of the fight is determined by elements outside of it.
>>321568603
She is best.
>>321567543
I'm exceptional when it comes to third-person shooters and survival horror. I'm above average on FPS, strategy, rhythm, platformer, etc.
Racing and Sports I'm pretty terrible at. Racing especially, I mean, I play GTA a lot so I can drive a car from one destination to another no problem but when you put a time limit or other players to compete against me, I succumb to the pressure.
Good at mobas
Awful at fighting and strategy games, but those are my two favourite genres so I keep fucking buying them and suffering through
>>321574462
I'm pretty good at Rocket League though. It's not really racing but I am in a car competing against other players' cars.
>>321567543
FPS and Fighting games
Weak at RTS games. I don't like seeing my guys die or be used as cannon fodder and get sidetracked.
Games that require planning and careful movement, stealth games. I'm pretty good when I can focus.
I suck at fighting because I can never memorize the inputs.
>>321567543
i was able to beat mega man 1 at age 6. i can't do it now
Rhytmn games, hack&slash and fps
As much as I want to I can't into RTS and MMOs, although I do enjoy MOBAS to an extent
>>321567543
I'm good with racing games, games based around the idea of cooperation like Left 4 Dead 1 and 2, beat 'em ups, and platformers, maybe above average with point and click adventure games, and I'm starting to get the hang of Touhou, since I wanted start up the games and enjoy everything from it. I get some moderate fun out of life sims, like The Sims 3 and Animal Crossing.
I'm pretty shit at most rhythm games, I'm a huge pussy when it comes to a lot of the horror games, and I suck ass at fighting games.
>>321575123
>I don't like seeing my guys die or be used as cannon fodder
That's a natural response isn't it? When you see a character die, you feel like you're doing something wrong. In the grand scheme of things it might just be a necessary sacrifice for victory. That sounds a lot like real life doesn't it?
I'm really good at third person combat games, Monster Hunter (fuckin love it) and Dark Souls especially. Also above average at rhythm games and shooters of most types.
I absolutely cannot into fighting games, and am not too great at RTSs.
when warcraft 3 came out, i was among the top ranks of players. had all the avatars and everything. now RTS just make my headhurt
i can however destroy my old records in Civ 2. also as a plus, my computer doesn't take 4 minutes to load a map for Civ 2 any more
>>321575123
>>321576034
>one of my troopers die
>equate one loss of life to 10 on the side of my enemies.
>tfw they start attacking my cities and killing my citizens
Once that happens I pretty much go full warlord on their asses, bonus points if they were once trusted allies in which case I will ravage their cities with extreme prejudice.
>>321568603AND HER NAME IS
>>321567543
I'm pretty good with platformers, I also love puzzle games but I usually miss shit when its right in front of me
