Believe it or not, but there are still difficult games in the world. Catherine is pretty fucking hard. Just play a lower difficulty.
I played this game on normal my first time through, and I only got stuck on spiral staircase, stage 3, 10 rows up for a while because I had the dumb for a bit, and I got stuck on Thomas Mutton for a while because he kept destroying blocks I wanted to use.
If you up the difficulty, does the rate the blocks fall change, or is the arrangement of blocks presented to you actually different?

both are atlus. most devs design all their games to have somewhat of a similar-ish difficulty. i guess it was a bad example, but i have played some difficult puzzle games in the past but literally none compare to catherine. it's just so fucking infuriating and it makes me sad because i really want to see the character development and how the story turns out. it also sometimes feels like the camera fucks me over which annoys me even more if i die. i guess i'll just keep cracking at it, just hope the conclusion is worth it

Atlus has different devs under its hood, but Catherine is from P Studio, the same devs from Persona 3 & 4.
Fan Facts: Catherine uses gamebryo engine and it was such a pain in the ass that P Studio started to work on their own engine for P5.
Also, the game was so hard after its japanese release that they had to patch in an easier mode.
