Is this worth pre ordering from GameStop for $229?
I'm thinking of getting it too, as i've never owned one before and would like to get better at playing console fighters with them.
Just curious if anyone knows how easy it is to change/customise the plate(?). Thinking of commissioning an artist i like to draw something

Common mistake. If you buy a cheap shitty fightstick it'll be worse than a controller and put you off, and you'll just end up wasting money in the long run.
If you like fighting games enough than buy a good quality one. I went straight for HRAP4 kai as my first after getting into fighting games and don't regret it a single bit. If you don't like it then just sell it for 60% of it's price.

It's a very common misconception that fighsticks are actually good for fighting games. Unless you originally learned how to play the respective game on an actual machine or with a stick it's going to be worse.
