>>
I'm thinking of getting it too, as i've never owned one before and would like to get better at playing console fighters with them.

Just curious if anyone knows how easy it is to change/customise the plate(?). Thinking of commissioning an artist i like to draw something
>>
jesus no

a fightstick for a beginner should cost 60 bucks.
>>
You can get a HRAP 4 Kai for $150.
>>
>>321542180
lol 229$ for a fightstick?
build your own
>>
What makes that stick so special? It's got a stick and some buttons. Like every other fight stick.
>>
>>321542180
Probably not.

What console are you looking to buy it for?
>>
>>321542180
No, it isnt. Just get a HRAP Kai.
>>
>>321543327
For PS4 though? I'm trying to beat people online with a superior arcade fighting stick.
>>
>>321543630
Obviously for ps4 to play SFV with.
>>
>>321542180
>fightstick for Mash Fighter 5

Don't even bother.

Wait till the game comes out.

Capcom said they're trying to have PS3 stick support on release so you could pick up a cheap TE if that turns out to turn true.

A stick won't magically make you better btw.
>>
>>321543836
I'm assuming charge attacks will be easier on that thing.
>>
>>321543094
This is the correct answer. Make sure you even like playing with it before you drop that much on a controller.

Why does MC continue to insist on price-gouging us like there's nobody else on the market? I'm considering giving Hori my business for a similar-quality stick for $80 less.
>>
plinking isnt even necessary in SFV. why even bother to spend so much on a stick
>>
>>321544150
I would if I didn't abhor the Hori layout.
>>
>>321544268
Because I need to do charge attacks, and with a fighting stick it would be easier to perform.
>>
>>321544538
You can do charge attacks on pad, just stop being shit.

And if you're REALLY having so much trouble buy a fightpad instead.

Why not just get one of these bad boys instead so you don't look like a total fucking dork?
>>
>>321544640
Are there any good fight pads for PS4? I'll look it up if it's good enough.
>>
What's the best ps4 fightstick for someone who never owned a fightstick before? I found a mini one for like 50 bucks
>>
>>321542180
I fucking love my te2, super easy to customize, sanwa parts, sexy as fuck.

i'd recomend getting one because they will most likely be sold out 24/7 when they do come out, its definitely a big investment though

>>321542913
worlds easiest stick to customize.
>>
>>321542180
Still using my PS3 TE2 I got on sale for $100. That seems like too much money.
>>
>>321544865
Can you read the thread?
Don't buy one.

Unless you've tried one out and know for a FACT that you prefer it don't buy a fucking stick.

>>321544932
I love that this is becoming a thing, Razer really nailed it with that design decision.
I was thinking of grabbing an Aatrox in a year or two but it's good to know there will be more variety in this style.
>>
>>321544719
>the most useless piece of shit d-pad ever created
Literally any other input device would be a better choice, fuck off with that meme controller.
>>
>>321544125
>>321543094
Common mistake. If you buy a cheap shitty fightstick it'll be worse than a controller and put you off, and you'll just end up wasting money in the long run.

If you like fighting games enough than buy a good quality one. I went straight for HRAP4 kai as my first after getting into fighting games and don't regret it a single bit. If you don't like it then just sell it for 60% of it's price.
>>
>>321545173
I played arcade cabinets. How would I know if I like a fightstick if I cant use it in a game?
>>
>>321544719
>I've never played a fighting game: The post.
>>
>>321545283
60 should get you a basic matcatz, which is good enough for a beginner,
>>
It's a very common misconception that fighsticks are actually good for fighting games. Unless you originally learned how to play the respective game on an actual machine or with a stick it's going to be worse.

Unless you've got stubby or American fingers I guess.
>>
>>321545534
Wouldnt specials be easier to do on a fightstick with enough practice. Seems to problematic on the ps4 controller.
>>
>>321542180
Why does Ryu get such a nice looking one while Chun Li's looks like a shitty happy meal

>mediocre character select screen art that doesn't even work well for a stick cover
>that bright blue baby toy look
>>
>>321545718
git gud
>>
>>321545718
How? If anything the wrist motion you'd need on a stick to do a 236236 is harder than a simple thumb movement on the dpad.
>>
>>321545793
Because Ryu has a wonderful colour scheme.

Mirin that Shadaloo stick though.
>>
>>321545818
Should be easier to git gud once the actual game comes out
>>321545848
I feel like sometimes my inputs dont actually work
>>
>>321544268
Well using a character like Birdie or especially Juri feels way more comfortable on a stick.

Holding and releasing buttons just isn't an input designed with pads in mind.
>>
>>321545307
You go to locals and try it out.
>>
>>321546013
Cool. Thanks for the tips
>>
>>321545950
Go play SF2 until you stop sucking at your inputs.

Git gud, basically.
>>
>>321543094
No one who plays fighting games, beginner or advanced, should be playing on cheap components. Anything that isn't Sanwa or Seimitsu is garbage.
>>
>>321545457

I keep hearing $60 sticks are going to be shit and break down quickly.

I just want a decent PC stick so I can play Guilty Gear.
>>
>>321546147
Go buy a TE or something.

Those SFxT TEs feel really cheap but they're awesome and once you get used to them are really comfortable.
I probably like them more than my TE Round 2.
>>
>>321544932
Thanks for the info! Yeah i got some xmas/bday money so i'm thinking of treating myself to this.
>>
>>321546330
>Once you learn to eat shit the taste isn't so bad
>>
>>321546147
Yes, $60 sticks are shit if they're new
If you buy something like a Madcatz used though, you'll be good

They feel cheap and shitty but they're not.
Sturdy as fuck and sanwa.

They only feel shitty at first because they're light.

Cheap as chips too since SFxT bombed.
