It's what people settle for when big money titles end up being terrible. People play and enjoy games for what they do in the relative aspect, not for what they don't.
I wouldn't buy Crypt of the Necrodancer in its current state. It's not really polished.
Personally, I recommend going all in on Isaac and Nuclear Throne. The Afterbirth expansion was bullshit a few weeks ago but it's better now, with the sacrifice room serving a purpose and shit. Haven't played the other 3.

I bought Necrodancer expecting a shitty rogue-like with a gimmick. It's actually much more of a rythm game, the rogue-like aspect of it is actually pretty light.
That said, it's not a hard game (although it's unforgiving) for the most part, and it's pretty well-designed (outside of that shitty lobby).
At full price, I'd say to stay clear. At that price, it's definitely worth a shot. More than BoI at that price anyway, holy shit that fucking robbery.

I haven't played Divinity yet, but I'm enjoying Pillars of Eternity a lot. Advice: don't get the Royal Edition. It only comes with wallpapers, ebooks and the OST, so it's meh.
Aside from that, it's a pretty nice game. I'm 15 hours in, on level 5, so you can be sure it has a lot of content.
If you don't wanna take my word for it, it comes down to whether you want real time with pause (PoE) or turn-based (Divinity).
