Usually the emulators that cost money give you save states and no ads on the rom selection list. Other than that, the free version are basically the full version. I always pay for it though to support the devs.

Be sure to also try and stick to trusted emu devs. Lots of PC ones also have Mobile versions.
Good example I can think of in regards to a shitty one is this one PSone emu for droid. name escapes me but it works great other than it REFUSES to function if you aren't online. So stay away from that kind of BS.

How is DS emulation on Android?
I heard about Chrono Trigger being ported to android and the very thought of it excited me. The idea of it becoming a game where you point and click on screen where you want Crono to run sounded neat to me. So I pirated it to give it a try.
Turns out controls are a virtual d-pad, you press on the screen and then shows four arrows and you slide to one of the directions to move around. I was so goddamn disappointed. That control style was so goddamn clunky. It was awful.
