Am I derping by holding 6 kingdom titles (Leon, Castille, Aragon, Portugal, Andalusia, Ireland)?
It seems like this is the best way to ensure my heir takes all titles with a gavelkind empire?
rev up those civil wars cause i am sure hungry

I haven't had a civil war in like 20 years.
>gavelkind

You dun fucked up already, all your titles are going to be distributed to children. I like primogeniture or elective personally.
Game is all about diplomacy, make sure your heir is rocking 20+
>>321508867
There's nothing I can do about it for 10 years, I just formed Hispania.
>>321508985
All my kingdoms use primogeniture, no titles will be lost currently on succession.
>mfw I gave up on CK2 cause I didn't get a lot of it and didn't know how people were making huge countries themselves
I heard you basically just change the law to something so that your heir gets it all and you make your best kid your heir so they're more likely to be successful and keep slowly taking shit.
Might load it up again and cheat to success.
Hearts of Iron 4 looks GOAT too, shame it won't be out for ages, the new division customization is a lot deeper than HoI3.

Dismantle the kingdoms inside Hispania then.

You'll have a war of succession the moment your current Emperor dies
Too many titles and too many heirs; there's no way there wont be a war of succession
If you divide up the titles evenly there will be a civil war as your power base divides
If you divide up the titles unevenly one of your children will be puppeteered into campaigning for the titles.
Assassinate all but one of your children and the heir will die to some other cause (like an unplanned Assassination); Assassinate all but two and the civil war goes ahead anyway
Basically as soon as your Emperor dies you're fucked
just destroy the kingdom titles
>>321509002
Disband the kingdom titles. You might get assassinated for it so try to have a worthy heir prepared beforehand.
>>321509183
unless its modded you can't plot against your children anyway, he could imprison and kill them all once he gets old however
>>321509047
Then theres no problem. You will be getting rid of those kingdom titles later on anyway when you form king vassals (do not be so retarded as to give anyone all of Andalusia, though).
>>321509142
>>321509209
>>321509212
To what end? Like I said they're all primogeniture and nothing will be lost on succession. The opinion hit is negligible.
>>321509183
Just added depressed, killed myself and ran it forward a few months... no revolts at all.
>>321509247
Thanks mane; I dont actually have any CK2 knowledge and was bullshitting based on deduction
How'd I do?

Has anyone actually had any issues with civil wars? . I mean they're so easy to deal with, especially when you're an emperor. I don't know if I'm just playing an outdated version (the torrent came with all the DLC's including horse lords) but the moment a faction starts gaining a lot of supporters I just buy off those who have a high relations value with me and if that doesn't work I simply ask the faction leader to give me one of his vassals(having imperial administration doesn't make you get a relations penalty when you do this), which of course he won't give up and rebels alone like a retard and then I easily crush him. The faction usually collapses then.

Civil wars are easy to deal with if you're powerful, but there are situations where you're not. And the people against you are.
It doesn't happen if you properly plan for them, obviously.

I thought Macedonia is a slavic country

Don't start that shit anon.
>>321511108

That's a greek province. Are you thinking of FYROM, anon?
>>321511108
Now it is, back then Macedonia was Hellenic and spoke Ancient Greek.

Have you ever been so cucked that you put up a monument to a foreigner that is totally unrelated to your people?

>Am I derping by holding 6 kingdom titles (Leon, Castille, Aragon, Portugal, Andalusia, Ireland)?
Yes.
Move your holdings to Granada and Seville. Make Seville your primary Duchy and Have Andalusia as your primary Kingdom title, When you need to extend your holdings down into morroco, there'sa few 5-6 slot counties there . Destroy all the other King titles or hand out vice-royalties, If you're unwilling to do this, remember that you can order sons to take the vows (hand them a bishopric) and eliminate them from succession.
Palm Ireland off on a non-pretender relative with good stats and think about granting independance. You will still get points for having your dynasty on another throne.
Does anyone know where could I get mods without having access to paradox forums?
>>321511613
>Yes.
But WHY?
>>321511715
Diminished powerbase, succession wars and factionalism everywhere. Charlemagne, 1066 Spain or general nord playing should explain this.
>>321510848
> but there are situations where you're not
Yeah but that never actually happens. Unless you give out like three duchies to a single guy. I think it's just too easy dealing with factions. For starters, you shouldn't be even made aware of the existence of a faction, right off the bat, and who the members actually are.
