GMDX is some mod that tries to build upon the game, fix bugs, but doesn't completely change things. Is it any good? Thinking of trying it out. Copy pasting from the last thread:

I really have serious issues with any mod that starts off by saying "the original was a buggy mess, but we've made it better AND more polished".
Like, seriously? Every two-bit asswipe who ever opened a modding program thought they could make something better than what already exists, the only mods I trust are the ones that try to convince me they aren't garbage.

most games are buggy messes
mods that just fix bugs are really great though, since they just fix simple glaring bugs and no one can say that's a bad thing.
Man I played invisible war as a kid, it wasn't like anything I had ever seen, I loved it so much. Them much much later I found out it was the bad one

It was a good game, just not a very good Deus Ex game
>>321507519
>It was a good game, just not a very good [____] game
When will this meme end?
>>321507252
I played it as a kid too, thinking that it was Deus Ex that everyone was raving about. I didn't even make it past seatle because the game bored me to death.

Speaking of, why aren't nerds trying to fix invisible war?
This looks incredible.
How did Revision turn out, by the way? I put off replaying the game for like a year because of it, but when the devs sat on it for months after saying they were done, I decided they could go fuck themselves and just played the vanilla game.
The way the guy narrating those youtube videos speaks reminds me of that cosmo video.
>the deus ex bugs are all arbitrary
>>321508428
a lot of people didn't like revision. tried to cahnge too much, especially visuals and doesn't work.
>>321508179
They would have to remake the entire game because it's fucked from the start thanks to shit level design. And it's much less mod friendly than the original.
That guy from last thread who couldn't play because of the error:
Kenties launcher works like a charm, it's all good! Fun times!
>>321509525
Also, playing on hardcore is much better than playing on Revision realistic, that was some fucking bullshit I had to endure in that game.
>Enemies 1shot you no matter how far you are, even if you are strafing and jumping and whatnot.
Damn I'm sold. A new good reason to replay Deus ex. The biggest complain I had with Deus ex was it's AI. And it seems they fixed all the issues I had with it. But I wonder if the game will be alot harder now since you can't abuse the AI in the same way.
I always drop the game by the catacombs part due being tired already
DE1 is great but they padded it too much, the game could be shorter

Never, because it's a legitimate point.

I want to know how compatible it is with the New Vision and HDTP mods, along with BioMod. I just installed a new game with those a few weeks ago. Will I have to just reinstall completely?
>>321511006
I think vision and HDTP are integrated in it, at least HDTP is.
>>321504676
Tried installing this, but it said that HDTP was already installed on my system even though I've wiped every known trace of it. Also said it couldn't locate Steam, even though I installed the game through Steam just not in the default Program Files location.

Oh shit, you're right. I didn't even notice that they're listed on the download description.
