I am not against emulators. Not in any way at all. And I have emulated the shit out of Nintendo games from the NES and GB to the Wii and DS.
I just won't believe that this will serviceable any time soon. And I'll probably need a working version dropped right in my lap before believing.
You can claim that they are progressing faster than other emulators. But I still won't get my hopes up until it's actually working. I had to wait many years for the previous emulators. I am not going to get excited and fool myself into thinking I won't have to this time. That's just setting myself up for disappointment.
