This, in a way. The only game I play requiring any kind of decent hardware is Arma 3 and I could still play that before I upgraded. PC gaming has gone to absolute dogshit aside from a few niche genres we hardly even get games for anymore like good space sims, flight sims, etc.

The only reason to get a very good PC is so you can run Gamecube and PS2 emulators perfectly, play some classic PC-only exclusives, or maybe play the odd steam exclusive game
there is no reason to buy a next gen console or a very good PC if you plan on playing current gen games, they don't require much because they look like shit regardless of settings andare 90% of the time complete dogshit
