So, now that things are starting to turn around, what do you think we should expect?

Based on how Valve is treating the situation, would you anticipate some sort of compensation for the leak of your information? How do you think Valve handled the situation? Can't wait to see Valve fanboys cover for them again.

Absolutely nothing.
No mention of it.
Continue as normal.
>>
Nothing will be done
Some people will use Steam a lot less and/or move to drm-free websites.

>sorry about all your information getting out
>get back to buying

Am I just getting too old for video games, or is the industry genuinely getting shittier?

back when you were a kid, there wasn't much of a vidya industry to speak of. people who played games really cared about them and the people that made them, and developers would always try to accomodate their pool of loyal customers. now that vidya is in the same realm of entertainment as movies and music - and essentially run by the same kind of execs - you get exactly the same bullshit from them. so i guess you did get older, but so did the business.

Question: Is it even confirmed that anything was stolen?

If nothing was stolen they don't have to apologize
>>
>>321469685
Their statement says no, userbase says yes.
Even so, personal emails and other information was confirmed to be leaked.
>>
>>321469685
Do you mean other than personal information?
>>
>>321469685
I could see their phone numbers.

Where?
>userbase says yes
Where?

I need to know if this isn't /v/ blowing things out of proportion again

Here is some statements they made: >http://www.gameinformer.com/b/news/archive/2015/12/25/psa-steam-is-having-security-issues-extent-as-yet-unclear.aspx

I think this is a justified upset.
