bullet hells as a genre is harder than any soul's game, and a lot of platformer are both more tight in term of controls and require much more practice to be great at than dark souls.

Then I installed DSfix and bought a controller.

Dark souls as an idea is still a good game despite its terrible flaws, but i don't understand how anyone other than a pure normalfag could say 'hardest game ever!'.
For pure difficulty in reaching the highest goals in a game, eve online is right up there, simply because no one is designing it to be a certain way, you jump through an unscouted gate and there could be 500 players waiting to kill you instantly., yet you could have avoided it with experience, skill and time investment. You also lose everything when you die, instead of just respawning and trying again.

You honestly don't need to go slow or be patient, just need to understand how things work. For PvE, upgrade weapons, rather than throwing levels into scaling stats for damage.
