Hello anons, I have a Christmas question. I can either get a 3DS XL today or drive for 2 hours to get a N3DS XL tomorrow. Is the N3DS worth the drive, or should I stick with the 3DS XL? Are the differences important enough to justify the drive?
Why do you need to drive? Can't you just order it online?

Get the N3DSXL, the OS is much smoother and more upcoming games will probably be "enhanced" when running on it, plus who knows maybe nintendo will actually make some more N3DS excluisives. Plus, the 3d actually works.

I just want a small 3DS to put CFW on it but I can't find a used one that wasn't used by someone with apparent motor dysfunction judging by the scratches and dents or that is updated.

The system has more RAM and processing power, so the OS is faster, things loan quicker and some games have enhancements (like I think Majoras Mask runs faster with the 3d on. Also theres one game right now that is N3DS exclusive
The system can take MicroSD cards with much larger sizes than the old one
There's a little second analog nub which is useful for camera control in games like Monster Hunter and Zelda (not really good enough for 1st person shooter aiming and things imo though)
The 3d actually works. If you've never used a 3DS, on an old 3DS you have to keep your head basically in one place, dead center of the screen or the 3D doesn't work. The N3DS doesn't have this issue, it tracks your eyes and keeps the 3d effect working
There's marginally better battery life
The buttons are a bit better and the build quality overall is better
