All the DLC priced there is for both versions. When buying for only the Wii U or only the 3DS everything is a dollar less so the total is $10 less putting it just under $100. From a skewed perspective, this makes sense, until you realize that...
1) The amiibo have no content being locked behind them except for having a CPU thing that "learns", something that no one will ever fucking use. The people collecting them are collecting them for reasons almost entirely unrelated to the games.
2) Mii fighters aren't able to be played online, which means that, again, almost no one's going to bother buying that shit.
3) The content that does matter, such as DLC characters, were all created AFTER the game's completion, all except Mewtwo. They could have made it so you would have HAD to have bought the amiibo to make them a playable character, like what they do in Skylanders or Disney Infinity. Also, these characters were gradually announced over the course of a year, so $35 only seems like a big deal if you're paying for them all at once. $5 once every two months for a new character created AFTER the game doesn't hurt my wallet. Games and consoles are still considered luxury items, suck it up.
The stage DLC, however, is balogna, considering they still haven't been graphically updated for whatever inexplicable reason, and only one (Super Mario Maker) is new.

Why didn't they do this? It seems like a huge missed opportunity; just look at the way people were gushing over AC Cloud, bikini Samus and original Bayonetta. Surely they could have made more selling "Dry Bowser", "Ms. Pac-Man" and "Pikachu Libre" costumes than something like "Bear Mii Fighter" or "Mii Fighter in a suit". I could only see issues cropping up with Cloud, PAC-MAN, Sonic and the Pokemon since their companies are particularly about how they should be portrayed, but I'm sure Capcom would probably leap at the opportunity to make more of that sweet Smash dosh, considering they're Jews that routinely whore out their IPs.
