Its kind of a mix between smash bros in the way of knocking your opponent off the sides and the top but also like Street Fighter in the way there isnt ledges and platforms and shit like smash. the more I think of it the more it sounds like sumo wrestling: the game. But I guess that Sumo wrestling with long combos would be cool to see.
Im pretty shit at drawing, but pic related is one of the keyframes for one of the characters jabs.
I plan on refining it, it looks really bad IMO.

I'm learning to use AGS and I think I'm getting the idea. Good thing I got wacom tablet for christmas so now my art is going to be extra crisp, I have drawn for all my life but there's no way in hell I'm going to hand draw everything and scan that shit.
If my game is good enough I might try to sell it on steam for couple of buckaroos, otherwise it's going to be a little fun freebie indie game for all to enjoy.

It's going to be something like Monkey Island 3 with my kind of humor, original music, and voice acting.

I'm making a dungeon crawler with "quirky" humor to appeal to the reddit/tumblr audience. I'm coding the demo myself just by looking up tutorials on how to do certain things and then I'm just paying some guys to do the art/music. I'll release the demo a month ahead of the Kickstarter and spend that entire month doing nothing but shilling it online. That way when the Kickstarter is up we already have people lined up to pay.

Of course it's the holidays so I finally have time to actually work on something. At the moment I'm working on a farm system. Features at the moment are custom seeds to plant, being able to move the plant location, time it takes to grow, to harvest and to carry.

Features I want to add at the moment are a water system, where the ground below will have a water value that will be detracted by the plants so that by overpopulating an area with plants you can dry out the land. The water value will be replenished by rain and nearby masses of water.

I also want to add so that the size of the farm can change, at the moment it only supports 3x3 but I want to be able to support up to 20x20 areas.

Yeah I'm making a game. It's a less shit version of the multiplayer from pic related, which had a lot of potential. Basically, there's a team of ghosts, and a team of humans. The ghosts have to possess the humans and get them to kill themselves by walking them into various death traps placed around the stage. The humans have ghost hunting gear. The original mode has balancing issues, bad maps, no online, etc but it's pretty fun so me and a friend are remaking it in UE4

Just started working on this again
Not gonna post anything about the gameplay because I don't have anything to show off for now
Using some random sprites and tilesets for everything until I decide on the setting
I like Unity more than gamemaker and some things I want to do with the game aren't possible in gamemaker from what I know

It's my first solo project so I'm keeping it mostly simple.

I'm taking inspiration from old action games like Strider, Ninja Gaiden, Genocide 2, Shinobi, Chakan and all sorts of shit.

Just a fast paced action game with a small moveset to help with platforming while also remaining offensive.

Yeah, there really isn't much more I want to expand on. The rest is going to come down to designing enemies and level layouts.

I'm just fine tuning it now. There's like one or two moves I want to do but that's about it.

My main problem is collision detection. Sometimes my character will just outright refuse to grapple.

I'm using Construct 2. My friend tells me its collision detection is shit

I'm pretty stupid. I can't even figure out Game Maker.

It's still buggy but I've been squashing them as I learn C2 some more.

WASD to move, Up Arrow to jump.
Down + Jump to slide.
Wall Jump is somewhat similar to Mega Man X, except you can't climb the same wall
Grapple a ceiling by holding up. Not guaranteed to work all the time. Sorry.

For some sweet moon walking, slide and then immediately press the opposite direction and jump

Python is so simple it might as well be called Babby's first programming language.
It's also widely spread, so I'd advise you to learn it.
Java is, well, Java.
I hate it with a passion but you gotta know it.
C is simple as fuck if you already learned C#.
MATLAB is mostly used for easy graphs, control simulation and machine learning, so it wouldn't be worth it for you.

Doing an Undertale mockup/mod? in GMS, in last three days reworked timelines for attacks to pass dimensions of area with implemented handling multiple sources, and handling a useless case when there's different dimensions called on the same turn with a nice zoom effect, changed walls to actually handle different sizes, fixed hitbox movement in regards to walls, and automated changing rooms for walking which will make shit much easier when/if I finally get my ass up to do more than proof of work consisting of two rooms.

Sister goes away for a week so smooth dev ahead.
