I used to be like that you know. It's really hard to build a pc if you have nobody to help you finding the right parts. And when you did find them, they usually underperformed or were total shit anyway.
Consoles are easy. You just pick one andit just works
Seeing how this generation consoles are shit, it forced me to really invest in building pc's and it was worth it. But I get it, it's not easy to get into.

I have a PC. Now I want certain exclusives that I can't get on it.
Admittedly in gen 8 the only real exclusives I'm interested in so far were on Wii-U and handhelds, so that's what I've bought so far.
Plan to get a PS4 maybe next year.
