Soup /v/, just bought helldivers and I was wondering whether or not it had any longevity.
I've played about 2 hours and I'm having a decent amount of fun playing with randoms and I imagine it'll be much more fun with friends.
Do you guys think buying DLC is worth it? Also any anons want to play today? I'm considering buying the dlc shit but it's between that and doing something useful with the money.

I've put a few dozen hours in myself, the formula stays fresh for me because the missions are very random and the enemy types are varied enough I dont get bored
I just hope the devs start working on adding more enemy factions in the future

They've added 1 new faction to the ps4/vita version so I assume that'll come to PC eventually
But to answer your question OP, the game does have longevity, it's still kicking pretty well on its two original systems like 9~ months after release, the hardest difficulty missions are the fun things that you can just do for a good long while

It is fun and the DLC is mostly just additional weapons that add new angles to the game. Essentially further modding it. Plus original game is not full price.

Fastest way to farm war influence is to run solo lvl12 missions. With decoys and uavs they can be done easily, but are boring as fuck.
