I'm getting screen tearing in my games and I can't afford a monitor with G-Sync.
Is this monitor good enough or should I wait?

g-sync is a buzzword
what you need is v-sync

just limit the max fps in your games to match your refreshrate or get a high refresh rate monitor.
g-sync really is worth it, though. maybe save up more money?

Enable v-sync in your video card drivers, not in the games.

You dont need gsync
Just limit your frame rate to your monitors frame rate, which is likely 60 or 59fps

>v-sync
enjoy your 30% performance decrease
>>321386539
But with g-sync, you don't need v-sync

So 144hz should be enough to get rid of the screen tearing?
Also looking into tvs with true 120hz panels.

such a huge decrease when the game runs at 60 with it on anyway and my screen is 60hz
dumb fuck

No you're not, your imagining things.

I own that exact monitor, it's pretty good for the price. Honestly, there's no point in buying a "gaming" oriented monitor without G-Sync or Freesync implemented, and if you can afford to be patient and save up, do so. I own a AOC G2460PG G-Sync monitor and it's very hard for me to go back to playing vidya without it. but that LG is by far the best non-adaptive-sync monitor you can buy for PC gaming, mostly because of it's better-than-average TN panel.

Thanks. I guess I'll be waiting until those things become more affordable.

you lose performance without vsynch dumb shit
