I know that using the double action slowly is more precise than doing the cowboy speed shooting but it's kinda weird that there isn't a way to pull the hammer back before firing for maximum precision.

if you're talking about the r8, then they cut the damage almost in half and made the primary fire a little slower, the damage is what made it broken, so when it was nerfed it went from literally used everywhere to literally used nowhere since the deagle is still better
the core problem with the revolver is it broke the economy, which is 50% of the game at higher levels, there was absolutely no reason to buy anything else but rifles, so eco rounds were non existent

it's hard to explain honestly because not even valve really understood what they were trying to do
what they said in the patch note was they were fiddling with spray patterns and accuracy recovery times in an attempt to make it so that tap shooting was more preferable at longer ranges
what actually happened was they nerfed pretty much every hidden "stat" of the m4 and ak, so everything from spraying, shooting while moving, accuracy recovery time after a 1 tap and after movement stops, etc. were all worse across the board, so the end result of the whole thing was the m4 and ak were worse in every aspect no matter how you used them
some people speculated it was either to get people to use the aug and sig more often, others speculated it was from casual pubtrash players whining on the forums that they were getting raped by better players with aks and m4s too easily
long story short, everyone hated it, the pro scene basically flipped valve the bird and just played the major that happened right after the patch on the previous patch so there were no changes, and valve reverted all the changes soon afterwards
they fucked up bad, but at least, unlike most companies, they realized that and just backpedalled, nothing is worse than when a company tries some crazy huge sweeping balance change and it blows up in their faces yet they refuse to admit they fucked up and then their game is just ruined trash from then on

Im talking about your total ammo, not the number in the gun. They nerfed it from like 48 to 24 I think it was. I used to use the p250 all the time in CS:S.. they fucked it just for CS:GO, It was always that effective, scrubs just couldnt handle it... and yet the AWP still works for clearing corners by shooting people in the arm.

Pistols are fine. People like pistols, and they almost cant be OP besides the newly added revolver pre nerf, for 1 shotting people.
Why are pistols being nerfed? In case you couldnt figure it out, its because all the call of duty kids abuse the fuck out of the AWP, and its a problem, one that didnt exist in CS:S where servers simply banned the gun, because everyone had to play private servers... and when it wasnt banned, it was only used by a couple people at once.
