At this point, F-Zero is as ignored as Golden Sun, on Nintendo's part. I remember people being worried Captain Falcon wasn't gonna make it to Sm4sh until the Robin and Lucina trailer rolled around. The only reason people remember Captain Falcon is because he's been in every Smash game. Isaac's Assist Trophy was literally who to most people, however. Same with Samurai Goroh. If Captain Falcon hadn't been a playable character every go around, he'd be forgotten to this day.
Samus, used to be iconic, but has been getting pushed away since Other M. Federation Force is clearly a test of faith for Metroid fans. They're seeing if the name sells more than the character. If it doesn't, Metroid is dead.

Anna's appeared in all games and has handled at least three different weapons (swords, lances, spears); more if you consider all the class changes she can do. She was a Pegasus Knight in one of Ike's games too. She may not be an axe user but I'd rather have more coverage of all the other weapons if Sakurai really wants to keep all these swords.

Okay I see the point you're trying to make but Isaacs only chance of making it into smash 5 or whatever its called is if he has another game within this time and when smash 5 is announced, he doesn't have the same excuse and leeway CF has because CF was in smash because of F-Zero X which released a year before smash 64, Isaacs first game released in 2001 with its sequel a year later and its 3rd game releasing in 2010 2 years after Brawl but no new golden sun was the horizon before smash 4 started development unfortunately...

Alph was actually meant to be Lucina-tier dessert with Rock Pikmin until they decided Pikmin was shit and didn't need another rep clone or otherwise.
Now all Alph does is ruin All-Star mode, use the wrong ship in his entrance and final smash, and takes away four of Olimar's costumes, all with a completely soulless model that never emotes or says a word (ie: Alph's a fucking chatterbox in Pikmin 3).
Alts are pretty shit tbqh, or at least in this case Alph is the poorest implemented. I know it's not high priority shit but if they're not going to bother with effort then just give me some more Olimar colors instead.

1)Too many clones, Falco only needed Wolf's moveset, Dark pit and Lucina should be altskins for their respective characters and Ganondorf needs a fucking unique moveset.
2)Not enough DK, Metroid and other unpopular franchises representation besides Assist trophies, which aren't used at all.
3)The 3DS version held back a lot of stuff, we could've the Ice Climbers and the Poke-Trainer with better stuff right now.
4)Too many fucking guests, this is Nintendo characters duking it out, why do we need more than 3 guests? Specially since they have tons of shit they put the traditional characters (as in the original Smash 64 characters) in outdated status.
5)Fire Emblem chatacters should not be all Sword users, there are Axe and Lance lords too. At least Corrin is more unique.

The main thing I'm considering for Starfy is moves. He spins. That's literally it, from what I've seen. In Isaac's case, he's a Psychic who controls the Earth. I would rather see Isaac than Starfy. Personal preference with a logical base. Even if Isaac hasn't been doing well, he'd be a better choice gameplay wise.
