Actually if I remember right, a "new" robot named Tri-borg is about to be released. He has the abilities of Cyrax, Sektor and Smoke.
Also Bo Rai Cho, Leatherface and a Xenomorph with Tarkatan abilities.

MKX is basically Wasted Potential: The Video Game.
It was sitting in a position to cover, rewrite and enhance the plots and characters of the 4th, 5th and 6th games in the series, but instead they got ambitious and believed they were still good at creating new plots. When it was announced that the game would take place over 25 years I didn't think they meant it actually takes place 25 years LATER with a few flashbacks.
And stop with the damn horror movie characters. Give em their own game or at least cut them back from 50% of the DLC characters.
Bad online and I don't like the fact that a game as slow as it uses target combos for everything instead of links. Feels awkward.

MKX was a let down for real. a bunch of previous characters and fan favorites were featured in the story but aren't playable characters, which sucks dick. no cyborgs, shoehorned in new characters for seemingly no reason, and now a new wave of DLC characters is coming out.
Why can't fighting games have decent rosters these days? why do half the characters have to be bought separately? You're already paying full price for the game. why do they make you drop another $20 for "character packs" every few months?
The genre just feels dead.

It is. Boon's just a programmer who got lucky. He doesn't really know the first thing about making good games and even now routinely ignores fans' requests.
That said I love MK but I hate the direction it's headed. This new cast is trash outside Kotal and Erron, and maybe D'Vorah who was total wasted potential since they could've done great things with her but made her some generic traitor without ever saying why.
