Waking Mars is one game that I completely forgot about, but yeah. That is an FUCKING AWESOME game if you like sci-fi. It's not exactly short though: it actually takes quite a while to complete and sadly turns into a bit of a grind if you want to see the damn ending.
Swapper is I think massively overrated. Maybe it just did not click with me right, but I actually thought that beyond the art direction and few interesting themes, or actually more tones, it was pretty bad. The story did not actually go anywhere in the six hours or so I've played it, and the puzzles are quite awful at times.
I loved the ambience, but that was about it. Waking Mars was miles and miles better than Swapper.
