When it concerned fiction and entertainment, I probably had one of the most unstrict set of parents in the world. Unless it was porn, I could watch whatever I wanted. Was watching R movies right along with my saturday morning cartoons.
Vidya was the same way. They were ass backwards in a lot of respects, but I love them a lot for the fact they never tried to censor anything I watched, read, or played.

my parents were the same, played mk as a child. They questioned me if it had any effect on me because of all the gore (my father was super strict considering my behavior after playing these types of games since he's seen war). but i just answered i thougth they were fun. Considering mk was the only fighting game i knew about and i was always a huge fan of martial arts films and they were ok with the fact that i just thought they were fun as long as i didn't exhibit erratical and violent behavior, which i didn't. Thanks mom and dad, they are the best.
