I justrope cheesed the fungus world because I took too long on the first and got to the very hard difficulty and on the 2nd I was on the HAHAHAHAThe 3rd world was too much and I died. I unlocked the Enforcer though. Does anyone have that "Risk of Rain essential" image that was circling around maybe?

To increase spawnrate, you need to put the bar to a higher stat, but everything becomes real piss easy.

in the txt named "prefs" there's a line called "diff_level=x" where "x" is the three different difficulties, being 1, 2 and 3
There was one month where hosts discovered this and explored how it worked by putting x=300 and shit like that.

There's even an instance where we tested out a negative stat, but it decreased the spawn rate and enemies stopped showing up in general. The bar went into the opposite direction.

I don't remember it very well, but after the first map, where everything is a cluster of spawning bosses, the difficulty bar seemed to get bugged, and things suddenly calmed down for the rest of the game.

I don't remember, try some testing, the majority of the numbers (minus exceptions) seemed to work as long as you didn't pass a threshold.
I think 500 and 300 were good ones.
Try also numbers between 3 and 99.
And have in mind that even if it's working it may seem it doesn't at the beginning; like the bar seems to be normal and nothing happens on the few seconds or before activating the tp.
