No fucking shit Sherlock, they can't fit all 10+ hours of him playing into 1 hour of air time, so they have to cut most of the footage and withhold some info. Jokes seem to be a mixture of ad-lib, scripted stuff and your typical tsukkomi/boke combo whenever ADs are in the shot. Especially since Arino is from Osaka.

A lot of the show is scripted but I think that part was just due to editing. Its a small fact not noticeable to people who didn't play the game. They just needed good gameplay footage of him fighting Ganon and they just happened to use shots with the golden sword. There is a couple of episodes where you can spot mistakes like this.
