I played through OR without exp. share; beat the main game easily with barely any grinding, my Pokemon are lvl 55 at the end of the Delta Episode, E4 rematches goes from lvl 70 to lvl 79
Playing through AS, leave exp share on cause the games are boring enough I might as well chug through it fast and never have to grind, my Pokemon are lvl 44, last gym I just beat was lvl 35 max, next gym which is a mile away story wise is probably lvl 40-42.

Any studio that does this is fucking retarded, because inside each and every bit of that "film-grain" is a bit of detail (or if you prefer, data) that makes up that image. Removing it removes the fine detail of the picture and makes an image that resembles something even more unnatural.
It's better to let film grain just be there, while upgrading the clarity of the picture.
