>In UT explains that Humans have the ability to cheat death
>In DAS you're an undead cursed to live forever until you hollow and you can't technically permanently die
How come your favorite game doesn't explain why you can come back to life after a game over?
>>321229234
Because who gives a shit, it's a video game.
I always viewed it as, you the player are viewing infinite universes, and the one where you don't die is the one that keeps going, while every time you die you discard that reality. So in the character's eye they never died.
Undertale
>Fit in a one-liner to explain something that doesn't make sense
Dark Souls
>The entire mechanic of undeath is a huge part of the game and makes contextual sense
Planescape Torment
>You are immortal and it is the entire point of the game to find out why

>Fit in a one-liner to explain something that doesn't make sense
They do explain it though. I never said it had to make sense.
None of this "porn" you're spamming make any sense.

Why do you comeback in bloodborne?
Don't you fucking tell me it's all a dream.

>>321229629
Holy shit anon you couldn't be MORE wrong.
The MC's ability to reset time is a huge plot point in UT. Do some fucking research.
>>321233645
It's not a dreamIt's a nightmare
>>321229545
I thought everyone thought this except for games where death is an actual mechanic like DaS. Is this new to a lot of people?
>>321233645
It is though. When you die none of what just happened technically happened. Every death in Bloodborne is waking up from a dream within a dream.
>>321229545
Yeah pretty much.
It's fun to think that the villains technically win in the timeline that you've died in.
>How come your favorite game doesn't explain why you can come back to life after a game over?
Because it's a video game.
