I've had a G500 and am now using the G502 which is pretty much the same as G402

pros:

The G502 fixed the faulty cable, the wheel is more durable but it also comes with some new cons:

I used a microsoft wheel mouse optical for a decade and it was great.
Bought a logitech g100s and it shat out on me in like 3 months.
I've had a steelseries rival for about 3-4 months now and I have no complaints.

You're supposed to have it at whatever your sensor's native DPI is. Some mice work at any DPI, some at specific intervals, but most work best at native. Use the in-game sensitivity otherwise.

Higher dpi makes the mouse go smoother because it can detect smaller intervals of space on the pad, it also makes the mouse with higher dpi go faster at same sensitivity than mouse with lower dpi. You should use low sensitivity on cs instead of lowering dpi. Higher dpi is better but as long as you have 800 or more you are pretty much ok. There is also some difference between sensors because I was playing with some cheap knockoff gaming mice that had high dpi but it felt really weird while my mouse with the same dpi feels much better.
