What was your first FPS you ever played? How good was it?

Deus Ex was my first FPS but its more of an RPG in my eyes.

Goldeneye 8/10. It's a shame the Xbox 360 version didn't get released otherwise it'd be an easy 10/10
Doom
I actually couldn't and still can't play it because I get motion sickness from older FPS games.
Halo was the first one I was actually able to beat and even then I would get nauseous at times.

The very first Medal of Honor was my first FPS. My fellow man of African heritage.
To put it simply, shit was SO cash. I can't really make a fair judgement without resorting to my nostalgia goggles though, so just that'll do.

I remember sitting on my dad's knee playing wolfenstein 3D with him when I was very young. Remember vividly shooting the dogs lol, good times.

Come to think of it, first FPS I played may as well have been the very first MOH game on the playstation 1.
Later I got my own console and MOH Underground, which is my favorite in the series overal, but MOH1 was pretty fucking neato on its own. In general, those two games on ps1 are a fucking technological marvel when it cames to atmosphere and AI.

Inferior to Allied Assault in every single way.
Plus it ran at 15-20fps on ps2, aiming was a pain in the ass because despite the shit framerate, stick sensitivity was too high. You ended up aiming more with the left stick than with right.
It was alright for a console shooter.

I played Battlefield 2 back in its heyday when the multiplayer was well alive with my clan mates. I also autistically drew a picture of a spec ops guy killing a terrorist while riding a zipline after playing some of the Special Forces expansion pack. Good times. But now Battlefield has degenerated into generic Call of Duty bullshit. No more things such as squads and commanders calling out arty strikes.
