I liked it a lot.
Didn't feel like a cash in compared to the various other spin offs that were released.
Definitely felt like a sequel and the climaxes weren't supposed to be tearjerkers like in S;G but they definitely left a, "Damn why didn't I see this before, this is really cool!" kind of taste
All in all look forward to the eventual translation and the hopefully well adapted anime.

2/3 have 90% complete complete script TL 2 would be 99% if he had done the other character ends. But those are the 2 best of the series, 1/4 have rough scripts done, enough to understand an do most of the free-time events atleast, though getting 1 to run on a modern OS is a fucking chore. All 4 are better than that last ditch attempt to revive it that is ST5.

System-wise this game is great. Blinking eyes, mouth flap for both sprites and CGs, effects like falling leaves. And to top it off it not only has a voiced protagonist but he also has a face.
I'm quite enjoying it so far, around halfway through the "proloag".

heh. persona is however what most people mention. i hashed it all out sorta once. my idea is a mix of armored core and persona more or less. games would last only 4-8 hours, basically, you go day to day, doing half school, half training for fighting angels. think the virtual training of metal gear solid. as you do this day to day training, you "unlock" abilities, component and gear, so you can customize the shit outta your eva. randomly in this 4-8 hours, angels will interrupt to attack ( completely random, no idea when it happens. possible to have a game that ends in 1 hour, but rare, so on, so fourth ).
now, the part that makes it all feasible, is that i think each playthrough should be incredibly hard, but the gear you unlock carries on between plays ( your on your 7th impact now...heh ), and it should be impossible to save everyone and beat everything on your first playthrough. you basically re-live the events of the entire game over and over and over, but slowly working your way up to saving everyone and growing a spine. make it say, take atleast 10 impacts before your stats are good enough to really do this, and bam, youve got a 40-80 hour game. once you win it goes freemode, where you just keep playing till you max your stats and gear.

Replayed YMK recently. Even if it is the definition of an entry level game, I really enjoy the flow of the game, the MC's monologues and the character development in general. I still think Antoinette and the sister deserved a route.
