For months you literally couldn't discuss anything on /v/ besides LoL (which was just eceleb shit), SC2 (which was about kpop drama queens) and KrippleFucker2012. Any other thread got shifted off page 10 in a blink to make space for yet more chaining LoL/SC2/KS threads.

Some generals are far, far worse in this regard than others. Half the generals are weeb shit that I've never even heard of, no idea what the posting culture in those is like but I imagine it can't be good.
Honestly, the only general I've frequented that has very little drama or shitposting is Mount & Blade general. Though the tone there is getting more depressed with every month that passes with no Bannerlord release date.

Those were really dark times. It's actually surprising that we went as long as we did without a /vg/ board. Somehow people knew not to shit up the board with "generals" before LoL, KS and Kpo--I mean SC2--got big.
What's even more surprising is how long pokemon discussion was permitted on /v/. That was a boiling frog scenario for sure; pokemon posters were always insufferable.

Have you ever gone to /vg/? The majority of the generals about a game that has an esport is like 50% esports and 50% game, which is normally changing due to updates. Only if a multiplayer game doesn't get updates does it get a truely terrible general.
