I know what you mean, it's a good game but a little dated. I can barely go back to the original these days, except for nostalgia. RE2 however will always remain one of the best instalments.

What are things that would make it "modern"? I'm curious to know. I personally believe that they should leave the formula the way it is with fixed camera angles, ink ribbons, puzzles, inventory, etc. I wish they still made RE games like those but I understand that it may be outdated and that they need to appeal to a wider audience
