What's the best gamepad for PC? Is it the Xbox Elite controller?
People are pretty divided between Xbone, DS4 and Wii U Pro controller
They're all great, it really depends on which one you prefer

You don't need an adapter. Most third party pads work fairly well. Even the good ones aren't that expensive.
The SNES design is near impossible to fuck up.

360 is good if you don't really care about the dpad. Ps4 is supposed to be good, but I don't know how easy it is to set up.
