Most are just sidegrades, but there's a couple that are noticeably stronger than most other options, like the sickle laser rifle. Some offer utility options that don't really have an equivalent, which can be fun. One nice thing is that almost all the DLC items that aren't primary weapons can be dropped for other players, so you don't need everyone in your group to have all the DLC, one guy can get it and then be the dude who calls in those heavy weapons to share around.

Shadow Warrior is a decent, but forgettable horde shooter with godawful boss fights and the late game gets pretty boring on higher difficulties which make all enemies huge bullet sponges. The special edition weapons are just katana reskins which have to be enabled from options, you don't actually pick them up in the game.

DD, it's wierd, there's good parts about it but they keep adding "layers" of difficulty that only make the game more annoying, there's a corpse function that only shields enemies and they added more stress even on higher levels where your characters are supposed to be more adapted to battle also the game enforces finishing battles quickly to avoid additional stress which is difficult because of the previous systems making everything longer

Underrail is great if you get past it's learning curve. You really need to use items/powers to fully enjoy it.
