Biggest embarrassment of 2015?
I thought it was pretty fun.
I enjoyed Postal 1 very much and this was practically a remake with destructible environments, albeit with less fun guns.

It's either Undertale or Soccer cars, although the former has copious amounts of autism surrounding it.
Game wasn't pretentious. It was mediocre but it wasn't an AAA title. Probably a 6/10. I don't really regret playing it.

Plus Undertale really isn't that special. It's a quirky "tribute" (see rom hack, copy, clone) to Earthbound with some HORRIBLE comic relief characters.
If it wasn't for those horribly unfunny characters that get spammed or the whole "WOAH DUDE EPIC" see pic related, I could enjoy it more, but people ruined it for me.

Hatred was dumb, but anyone with a bit of sense knew what it was going to be. They played the social issue like a fiddle to sell their game. If anything I give the guys credit for going full tilt at it, sure it's a mediocre game but they still made a game. It wasn't some game maker bullshit with a deeper message or some artistic project.
If anything this game made a fool of all the people who got worked up over it; both the fans and the haters. The controversy games media made over it helped the sales to the dislike of those who wanted to see it banned on steam. Buying a game to stick it to the social justice crowd is also a bit dumb, but whatever. The embarrassment belongs to all the people who wanted to use it as a political statement.

Disregard plotlines that would have been interesting, don't explain anything (Besides a rushed attempt at exposition), and then force a final decision that was predictable since Episode 1. Even when it thematically, and logically, doesn't add up.

I expected a semblance of quality from FROM. i know their games aren't the most optimized or balanced, but those day 1 problems were almost unforgivable. Not to mention that, aside from the environment and some guns, it feels too similar to Dark Souls.

It's a shooter on a console. I can't get behind that unless they really give me a reason to. And considering that the singleplayer is just a glorified tutorial, it turns me off from the multiplayer. I enjoy SP far more than MP.

60 dollars for a level editor that's already free on the internet. The problem is that it has almost none of the crucial features of Lunar Magic. Forget slopes for a second, why can't I make my own bosses, my own enemies, my own sprites? Why can't I import music from other games? Or tilesets from other franchises? For such a highly hyped product, I'm noticeably disappointed.

Oh, then you never experienced the FPS drops in the swamp sections, or the foggy areas? Those were nightmares to get through, and despite patching, they still experience frame difficulties.
