Come on man, you can't be that naive. It's a small enough team and a niche enough project that money isn't 100% of their end-goal. They still have a passion for the games they create, they still have artistic integrity, they still are proud of their work.
I would agree if this was the 8th CoD or FIFA made by the same devs, I'd be souless too if I made the same thing for over 15 years. But you can't say XCX is a mere cash grab.
