Maybe they could save it if they advertise the PC and PS4 versions as though they were a new release but I doubt they will, Squeenix are a shitty publisher.

It's true. Exclusivity only works when there's no other alternative to play on the other platforms.
For example, Bloodborne would likely have been stomped if it had come out alongside anything else, but ad it happens, it was delayed, and came out at a dead time. It got good coverage and made people interested in the PS4 platform.
