Only played Asylum and City and never gave two fucks about anything after, but I was however severely disappointed with the shitfest that was Borderlands 2 and Bioshock Infinite.

I can name several but none shit the bed as most as Knight. Arkham Knight had a worse story, worse level design, worse music, worse art, and the gameplay was ruined by the inclusion of the batmobile. MGSV was pretty fucking dissapointed but at least it brought new ideas that worked and made the gameplay carry the game, Knight just failed at everything.

Those are gen 6 franchises though. Hell, KH didn't even have a single gen 7 game that wasn't a re-release.
Knight wasn't bad though. Car combat wasn't that bad, got tedious at times sure, but I still had fun with. I did dislike the lack bosses, but the combat and overall gameplay was amped the fuck up and better than any other arkham game. Overall:City>Knight>Asylum>>Origins

Knight sucked. The city was shitty, Riddler wasn't that great (I liked AA Riddler the best), the batmobile ruined A LOT, the story was trash (compared to the others) there weren't many "oh shit" moments even though the games main villain was Crane (A massive missed opportunity)
And the twist / reveal of the Arkham Knight was only eyebrow raising, at best.
AA had the best atmosphere
AC had the best gameplay
AO had the best boss fights
AK had the best problems

Anyone who thought Knight would be good was fooling themselves. There was a honeymoon period with this franchise that ended a few months after City was literally being hailed as one of the greatest video games of all time. We took a step back and saw the blemishes all over, and that Knight wouldn't be fixing any of them. By the time we knew the season pass content for Knight, it had lost any good grace it still had.
Can you fucking believe that these games were praised for their stories? Literally every one of them. City in particular baffles me.

I'll note that Origins actually had some competent storytelling going on, with an easy excuse for the villains to get together, solid focus on Bane and Joker as the main threats that never gets bogged down by the other bosses, and good characterization all around.
