All the miserable console loyalists pretend to love Bloodborne because it's on PS4, not because they love this kind of game or its aesthetic. It's because they are so poor that you can't afford the major platforms and so dumb that they can IDENTIFY with consumer electronics.
If this game were on XBONED, they would all be castigating M$ for ruining Fromsoft and hyping up a poorly reskinned, simplified version of a better game from last gen (as it is).
Again, none of them even like this kind of game. They never mention Demon's Souls, King's Field, or even Castlevania. They've never heard of Shadow Tower Abyss.

But I will say I got to play it at a friend's house and I am honestly in love with the game. I personally love its aesthetics more than the Souls games. Makes me think of castlevania at times, dumb as that might sound, I'm never in threads for it.

Be less greedy with your attacks. If you see an opening, attack only once unless you are sure have time to attack again. You'll learn how many attacks you can safely get by recognizing the enemy's attack patterns which you'll have to do for each new enemy.
Against enemies that do not get their attacks interrupted easily (most bosses), let them attack first, dodge towards them to their side/behind, then attack if you know it's safe to do so. It is better to dodge towards enemies/bosses for the most part than backwards.
Leveling up vitality can make things much easier since vials heal 40% of your max hp. This lets you take more hits without dying while using fewer vials in general. This is especially true in the early game when your weapons are not upgraded very much meaning they benefit little from your attack stats.

Don't get hit. Plan a build. My first playthrough i did a str build and finished at level 75.
My second i got to level 106 in a str/arcane build before finishing the dlc. That shits hard yo.
The dlc rekt me even though on my first run i beat all the last 5 bosses on my first try at 30 vit. For the dlc i went to 40 vit and was still getting rekt. The later chalices are really hard too.
